Settings for APEXi SAFC???
alimonos Wrote:Any suggestions not to make the engine "WAY too lean" as Denmark said? Dont mess with the settings, plain and simple. If you dont want to make it to lean, then dont turn the fuelmix down. But a very good idea is to buy and mount a lambda wideband sensor and the little box that shows the o2 level... Then youre sure not to make it to lean. But again, i would really advise you not to fiddle with it too much. Tune your engine up with the parts you want, and then "polish" with the SAFC... Youtube Myspace and I´ll Google your Yahoo |

alimonos, when you buy the O2 sensor - choose the wideband one :-)
The narrowband will work too but it has different A/F curve and is hard (impossible) to use it for tunning. About the headers - when I finish my "experiment" with turbo ones, I will try 4-1 TRD copy for NA :-) Maybe this weekend - who knows... PS: Found link related to OBX - they seems to be TRD copies too. http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=105150 |

The Map sensored engine should be able to adjust for small changes in VE just fine. Headers etc are all wel within its possibilities, only when you start messing about with cams and camtimingwheels do you really start pushing things.
Tuning a stock engine with an AFC is a complete waste of the time and will hurt more then it does good. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Are you sure, that your engine is an mapped one? If you have AFM, its probably not the same diagram you should use.
