So, I feel a bit retarded (Drum brake question)....
The Doctor Wrote:It should not be too hard, it's just that your hands don't have the right grip on the drum to pull it off. Ha! I spent an HOUR prying, pulling, and beating my drum caps off, doing anything I could to get them to come off. I got one off succesfully. The other is still half on, but I must clean up a bit and be on my way to boxing. |

Its very common that there are two screw type holes you can put bolts in and just slowly remove it. Also you can use a hammer to losen up the drum. If that does not work, you might have to use gas to get the drum glowing hot and them try to pry it off with something.
These are the only tricks i know about...... yet. Jón Mar "T3 is good. I'd go with them. And they're red. Red goes faster..." '87 AE86 3dr - Black '87 AE86 3dr - Red '88 AE92 5dr GTi - Black '95 ST205 - Red - sold |

I can confirm the whacking with a hammer method....that's the method me and my brother used on his 30 year old RA40 celica axle that had been lying out in the elements for probably a few years. If you use a rubber hammer nothing will get damaged...
