well i haven't 'drifted' it yet, but i now my 1G-GE has NO torque below 4500 rpm (it;s really a 6 pot 4a-ge, with T-VIS! ) but if in the right rev area, it'll light up the rears pretty easily. But it's SCARY to drift without control of the gearbox!

if i lock it in 2nd gear, it stays there, so it could be possible.

I'm also in a dilemma here. I know somebody who sells a good carina but that means if i want to buy it, my AE has to go.

You can always swap the engine for a 1G-FE to improve torque (vvti ) or try to ask Ad to import a 1G-GTE for you.

If I lock mine in 2nd it most probably equals third of yours.
And then I also need an LSD because in my attempts so far I could only get one wheel spinning.

i allready told him to watch out for dirt cheap GTE or GZE engines

2nd gear reaches to 120-130ish km/h btw

I have no idea what mine will do, but second is almost the same as 3rd of the T50, so it should reach around 90 I think.
(Considering the 2T should not be revved above 6000 rpm! )

i can go all the way to 7300 or so (like i said, a 6 pot 4a-ge ).
