Robokill's engine spanked 75% of all the nearly stock 20v's that where present on the dyno that day.. really good results for a street-driveable engine (no lumpy cams) on a stock ecu.

My engine:

7 ribbed 40mm crank
81.5 mm toyota pistons
Ported bigport head
182CC injectors
260 in 9mm lift (Catcams: 7105137)
252 out 8.5mm lift (Catcams: 7105137)
Standard intake with open air filter
Standard ECU
Super 98 unleaded fuel

Stadnard header but cut at the 2-1 juntion to fit a 55mm diameter exhaust under axle.

This results into:

134.8 Rwhp and 150.4 NM on the wheels Smile

On ideal situation I would be running 210CC injectors (which I have laying around) Engine is running a bit lean and I have a power distortion at 7400 rpm

I have almost identical setup with the Catcams 7105138 although I have yet to put it on the rollers.
What timing are you using for your cams Robokill ?

My engine from 2008:

7rib 4age
bigport crank, rods and pistons
ported & polished bigport head
raised CR 11:1
HKS 272 8,1 in/ex camshafts with ajdustable gears
HKS valvesprings
HKS oil up kit
Small port oil pump
Greddy airfilter
TRD header 4-1 + 2,5" freeflow exhaust
lightened flywheel
without TVIS
factory ECU

(intake cam retarded 5 degrees, exhaust cam retarded 2 degrees, base timing advance 12 degrees)
engine worked with lean Air fuel ratio 14-15 above 5000rpm, but survived some races...

133,7 whp about ~160hp on crank

This year I made some improvement (AE101 ITB and MegaSquirt) but haven't dynoed yet.

Hi, I have also Catcams.

My engine:
Smallport head (blueprinted)
300CC injectors
260 in 9mm lift (Catcams: 7105137)
252 out 8.5mm lift (Catcams: 7105137)
Standard intake with open air filter
Megasquirt MS2extra
Super 98 fuel
original MR2 exhaust
0,8mm TRD MHG

I use the original timing 110/110. (With the thinner gasket it should be about 112/108°)

With the calculation function from MegaLogviewer I have about 110hp on the wheels at 7000rpm and 100hp@6000 where I have max torque 90ftlb.
Compared to another car I should have about 140hp on the engine.

I think there are a few HP missing. Maybe the exhaust is restricting the engine to much or the timing is not perfect.
I'll soon get it on the dyno.

It would be great if you can post your timings.

max78, I think you have somethings to upgrade before the exhaust. You should get the cam timing down to 100/100 or 105/105 and check ignition timing.

I would upgrade intake manifold before exhaust. Removing T-VIS is also a must do with those camshafts, I think!

You should also check your compression ratio. Maybe raising it shaving the head would give you extra hp.

Best regards

thanks apardal, I set the cams to 110/110 because the datasheet for the cams tell me this.
Isn't 100/100 a bit too much overlap, don't you loose alot power at low rpms.
I have a Walker muffler (It's should be similar to the original).
I have no TVIS because I have the small port engine. And compression is on the small port 10,4:1 and a bit higher with the thinner MHG.
Ignition timing is at 32° at high rpm and load. Between 12,5 and 13,5 AFR is nearly no power difference.

Best regards
