Welding tips please!!!!
Hey all.
Im going to start getting ride of the rust that I have in my car. Its not alot but its still enough!!! Im going to get a welder so I would like to know which one would be best for the rust/panel work. I know how to MIG and Gas weld..also got the basics of TIG so my question is what have you guys found to be the best method to use. TIG welds very hot so it could warp the metal, MIG leaves big welds so that means more grinding and panel work... so tell me ya hints Also what kind of metal do you guys find best...2mm mild steel sheet metal ??? Cheers guys! I once read that you shouldnt believe everything you read. |

I post some pictures once I get my bumpers off hehe. I think I'll go with a MIG....after some reserch. Tig seems to be to hot and warps metal easy.

Welding tips please!!!!
MIG with reasonably thin wire (0.6mm off the top of my head, but ask someone with welding experience) is the way to go.
And practice for a few hours/days before trying it on your car. You'll be amazed with the improvement. Hen No, this thing is totally stock standard officer... |
