Koni yellows go for 130eur for a pair. that is 260 eur the whole set, and that is just over 300$.

Koni reds (non adjustables) go for 80 eur /pair, that is 160 eur for the set (that is just under 200$).

Apolan,

where do you buy them? I've only seen such low prices for koni's on ebay. Most places I've checked around here quote me around 200 to 250 euro for a pair of front koni yellow and 150 to 200 for rears.

God-forgotten Bulgaria.
http://www.rudy96.com - all prices are in BGN and you must know the PN#s.
They offer some discount for volume purchase also.

PS: I checked the site and found no English version. So here is direct link to pricelist:

mux those prices are from http://www.fosab.at/, but their online shop is down atm. But the prices for ae86 shocks were 130eur for pair (yellow), 80eur (red).

try to get through shop-stossdämpfer- then you can choose btween VA and HA (vorne/hinter axle) and spezialstossdämmpfern(red) and Sport(yellow).

Quote:KONI Spezial

Besides, one guy here (who'll start dealing konis) said he'll have the final prices in a week or so, and that they'll be pretty cheap. we'll see.

yes it surprised me as well, as yellows usually go for the prices you described above. Ill have a listen of what this guy has to offer and report here. Maybe we can make a super ae86 beginner suspension combo and add to the shop. Big Grin Big Grin still wondering tho which shocks to use for rear.. /30-40 mm lowering.

Apolan Wrote:still wondering tho which shocks to use for rear.. /30-40 mm lowering.

The part #'s I listed above were for a short stroke application on the AE86 to match the common ride height drop of the available TRD springs or coilover setups 30-40mm and shorter lowered. As that was what I was going to run them with.

Quote:Recommended by KONI (for front):
8610 1437RACE Works better with higher spring rates than MR-2 piece/better valved for ae86 weight

Recommended by KONI (for rear):

95+ Mustang (rear)
Koni 8041-1186S -sport Externally adjustable, and valved as an ae86 would need to be.

OR (even better dual adjustment!)

93+ Camaro (rear)
Koni 8242-1006SP1 dual adjustment (compression & rebound)

so camaro 93+ or mustang 95+ would be the choice? how much custumisation would that involve? only shimming down the excess metal around the ear?

And what was that recomendation for the front? What kind of shocks are those? would this setup also work gret on softer springs (F:4kg/mm,R:3)?
