I moved your topic to the Technical section since it is not really a project.

oops ya bushings sorry. what companies? I'm probably going to use powerflex/superflex stuff but I'd rather have Japanese parts on my car, even if it costs more but has the same effect.

Most of us here have the prothane poly bushes..you could off course get TRD bushings...good for a daily driven car.

no i was just kidding. i have never seen alu bushings on a hachi. but you can make them yourself. it just that o think alu-bushings would put to much stress on arms, and other suspension parts. maybe w/ an upgrade from battle version would be a good idea.

What bushings are being used by Japanese tuners?
May I ask why it's so import to know what the jap tuners are using?
Is it that important to have some fancy name on a few parts where you wont notice the difference that much anyway? If you look at the option video ae86 specials you'll see Tsuchiya talking about TRD bushings somewhere.. And if you need to upgrade and have money to spare then that's what I would choose. But all out racing cars dont use rubber, they use heim joints, which are going to make a HELL of a racket on uneven surfaces. Most of us here have chosen to go with polyurethane, which is stiffer than rubber, but also more prone to wear over time. The prothane kit is very good value, and it does exactly the same for your handling as trd bushings would do, only a bit less comfortably. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

how do the prothane bushings compare to the powerflex or the superflex ones? the prothane ones are so cheap compared to all the other makes. my ae86 will be a everyday car for me
