tryed to paint the car myself and it didnt work out so i left the car away tonite to get painted as im too choosy and just cant do it to please myself. he says she will be ready fo lifting next friday. absolutly cant wait to get building at her. if shes back on time 2 weeks and she will be out.

while the car is away for paint i thought this good time to rebuild the engine. goin to put in
new rings
trd 0.8 steel gasket
new oil pump
new valve stem oil seals
new crank seals
new cam shaft seals
new waterpump
new crank bearings
new con rod bearings
arp head bolts
lightened flywheel
also:
re seat the valves
port and polish the head
paint the engine aswell
cams if i can sacrafise the money
have most of the bits sitting here appart from the bearings

started today by stripping the head and seating the valves have 8 exhaust valves as they were really bad im surprised the sealed at all.

getting there now the worst bit is over putting in the alarm and remote central locking system.
as im goin for the 84 grill i need the 2 inside headlamp brackets off a early spec car as the brackets are different for holding the early grill anyone have any?

been a bit slow there for a while as couldnt get near it. engine bay isnt far away now and bottom is near done aswell. while slow work making sure everything is perfect tight and all to stop rattles and not have to work at it again.

got inside all waxoiled now so can go about fiting the rest of the interior now should look 100times better when interior is all in

just a wee pictue of the toyota badge off the starlet. made 2 wee brackets to fit the early grill sits nice and neat now.
also the boot spoiler fitted what a job the brackets were all broke off it so made and plastic welded on new ones sealed the holes before i fitted it to stop water leaking and waxoyled the part if the boot under the spoiler as common to rust under it.

should be finished next week hopefully, need the measurement from the grease nipple on the bottom of the front struts back to the axel mount to get the front wheels in the correct place please.
