Maybe ok for a dedicated racecar but I agree with Ivan and I think you would need to check very carefully before installing one on a road car.
Toyota would have taken the design and safety of the original tank very seriously especially given where it is mounted, a rear end collision could be extremely dangerous for the occupants of the car that shunts into the back.
I really like the idea of the plastic tank but I won't take the risk.

It will be only for race use . The material is polyethylene is the same material that all modern car fuel tank use . Yes it can handle all kind of fuels.

I will also build a round one for the spare well . and a swirl pot 2 liter .
The plastic is more flexible and durable compare with the steel tanks.

Its almost done in 30 days will be full production with photos and instalation photos.

Here is my big brake upgrade that i made my self . 6pot calipers and 300x32mm discs from wilwood . i custom made the disc hats and the caliper adaptors.
and i found that i can fit also 305mm discs with the 6pot calipers and with the smaller 4pot calipers it can take up to 310mm discs to 15inch wheels.

Hi i want to share my first ever race in circouit with my ae86 .
I start from last place becose i dint qualify .
At qualify season i brake the throtle cable .
I finished second place over all and second in 2 liters class.
if you see the silvia brake down and for about 2 laps oil and water was all over at the tarmac .
that was a reason for my exit after some laps .
the video missing the last 5 laps full card and stop recordin.
At list i get all the good action at first laps .

Hi Guys Long time to post and did a lot of work on the car .
full engine rebuild with Toda pistons rods and camshafts .
port and polish head with bigger ferrea valves.
elite 6 speed sequential gearbox and lightweigt flywheel 3.7 kg with 184mm tilton twin clutch.
oem axle with custom 28mm shafts and lsd from elite racing.
maxxecu and new loom 50mm itbs and face feed injectors.
4to2to1 exhaust manifold to 63mm exhaust .
here is my first tests at the track.
i am more than happy with the results.
i made 280bhp at 8800 rev limit is at 9950 and the power there is 273bhp
the car is a rocket .
