alternator problems,this sucks
hi ,this evening my 4th alternator broke down on me
first one was a new one,second and third where second hand,now this 4th one was brand new,1 month old. they told me that the engine made to mutch rpm,so i fitted a underdrive kit,but now(i think) i have the same thing going on,weird noises out of the alternator,like the rotor is hitting the stator slightly... i dont want to buy a new one every 2 months,so is there anyone who had such problems?,i tought with the underdrive kit it would be over...  could it be a vibration off the engine?(9800rpm) ohw yeah its a 4age20v blacktop ![[Image: AEU86 AE86 - alternator problems,this sucks]](http://www.driftparts.nl/Eric/Spaanbanaan.jpg "AEU86 AE86 - alternator problems,this sucks") sr86 completed!!........漂うことのマスター!!!! |

just a shot in the blue - are all your pullies straight (alligned properly) as this could cause it to fail as well...
