Well, im bringing up my very old topic, but not much I have done for the swap except saving money, but I have managed to get some corner lights from a guy who also owns an 86 in the same town that I live in, we met my coincidence.

alright well long time no talk but im ready to get moving shortly...

I have some bondo.... ordering some paint.... and I have a professional bodywork and painter from the westport shipyard (no 7 yacht builder in the world ) to help me. He also happens to have a corolla as well that hes working on so we agreed to help each other in a scratch my back ill scratch yours way..

pics soon but its gonna really sweet to finally get the body straightened out and re painted a sapphire blue metal flake.

also for the silvertop I have someone who I worked on their truck is probably going to order the megasquirt equipment so that I can work on wiring that up and getting the silvertop into my car.

So, if you guys are still following this topic, I have taken my SR5 out of my corolla, and have taken the moutns off it...

I have bought, soldered, and tested the megasquirt II system, I also bought Megaveiw, Ford EDIS, and now am getting ready to fix up and paint the corolla the Saphire blue metal flake I have.

yeah, thats what I meant, lol yeah that worn out engine has been taken out and is being cleaned up.

Just finished rerouting the waterlines inside the silvertop so that I dont have to touch that firewalled when combined with the EDIS system.

My friend and my dad have been working a lot with me to get this paint job done at the same time

Ridinslideways has hooked me up and did the actual paint shooting and helped a lot with the bodywork





were going to wet sand, buff, polish, and wax it tonite ill post pics when that is finished

Wow it turned out pretty nice , i can tell from the reflection on the roof or is that the hood? Did you spray it in the garage? i ask because i see the box fan with the garage door closed around it and the fan blades look slightly "blued" . My dad had painted many a car that way back in the day and I've done my share if i could get it past my home owners association i would spray my sr-5 again but i almost got a lien put up against my parents house last time so i gotta be more careful about where or when i paint things. Did you ever get the 4ac running ? you wouldn't happen to want to get rid of the 4ac head by chance would you ? I need one to get my POS running to get the car registered/insured/inspected/titled. Keep up the good work.

Did you ever got her driving with the old 8v engine? Or did it just sit in the garage until you where ready to do the swap?
