YEAH GOT IT!!! NO BOUNCING ANYMORE!

I think the perfect idle is ~850 RPM but 1000 is acceptable, esp. winter :wink:

Mine idles at 900~1000 rpm normaly, sometimes at 800rpm, but i´ve experienced some minor rpm meter faultys. In 5th gear at 90kms/h sometimes it goes at 3000rpm, other times at 3100rpm. The engine sounds good, revs good, never experienced anithing bad at the time, so i give it a break...

Mine depended on the season. During summer the car idled between 800 and 850 and during winter between 1000 and 1200. So don't worry about a bit higher idle

Soooooooo.... WHY do these engines get a loping idle when the
coolant is low ?? It must be an ECU controlled thing, as a simple waxstat does not have a fast enough response time to cause loping  Lack of coolant just means the waxstat does not heat up as quickly, and all this will do is cause is the idle to stay high for longer.
