I'd go with 264 on the intake side...
are you gonig to use the stock ECU still? here you can find the datasheet of the HKS cams - you can use theire timing table to start with AE86 ex-daily |

Read up on a concept called "dynamic compression ratio", this may help you decide which cam you want where.
*IF* the head is unported, I'd recommend the 256 cam on the intake side, and the 264 on the exhaust side. Here are the Toda timing sheets 256 264 Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |

So toda suggests 110/110 stock timing with both the 256 and 264 cams?
According to club4ag tech ref TRD timing for 264 cam is Intake 106° ATDC Exhaust at 116°BTDC. Bigger cam on teh exhaust improves midrange, big cam on intake improves top end. http://www.skynet.ie/~eireae86 |
