Use these diodes on a twin coil pack setup and your stock AE86 tacho will work fine!
Big thanks to PhatBob for this info by way of the VEMS project.
Coil 1 and 2 refer to twincoil negative signal wires.

Will this work when im runing an Omex600 ECU. As you know the Omex has a tacho wire but it wont work my standard rev clock Banging head

Drive it like your late for mass and god is your passenger / don’t just bend the rules rule the bends fun ant in a straights!!

You have to tell us what ignition you are going to run. If you keep the distributor you don't need to do anything.

With twin coils do what IrishTC says.

Coil on plugs is harder since you have to run it from your ECU...

Or you build yourself a tach booster and just use the ecu's output.
I can make one for you if you cant do it yourself... it's pretty easy.

A couple of diodes will do the trick to, but I don't really like the idea of 'connecting' these otherwise independent signal lines together.
Using the ECU output keeps things nice and clean, no nasty electrical gremlins in the ignition should a diode fail.
