You have to tell us what ignition you are going to run. If you keep the distributor you don't need to do anything. With twin coils do what IrishTC says. Coil on plugs is harder since you have to run it from your ECU... Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch |

Or you build yourself a tach booster and just use the ecu's output.
I can make one for you if you cant do it yourself... it's pretty easy. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

A couple of diodes will do the trick to, but I don't really like the idea of 'connecting' these otherwise independent signal lines together.
Using the ECU output keeps things nice and clean, no nasty electrical gremlins in the ignition should a diode fail. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
