The guy didn't start out in an M3 guys.. come on. its just the car he happens to be driving in this vid. Never much heel/toe unless its raining, didn't stop him from becoming a professional driver/drifter.

I'm not saying you shouldn't heel/toe. Just that its not needed to be fast on even a professional level.
I do use it myself, because I find it easier to do then perfectly timing my declutch. I stopped rowing through gears and focus on my braking though.
On the street I do the whole row/heel-toe/row/heel-toe thing just to keep me busy and practice. But its not the fastest way round a track, unless you are very good indeed. And even then you can be just as fast without it.
