well folks, to be honest, i dont know alot about tranplants or major mod,
i love my cars, but i like restoreing them myself, changing an old part for new, and polishing and painting, and locking the cars up,
i am very thankful for the advice, as this would be all new to me,
i think i would be better going for a turbo engine, like a beams or F20C, sr20's seem to be more common than the other two,,

My opinion:

If you want to stay NA:
f20c
or crazy built 4ag (I just seen a 20V with 200hp+ for sale)

Both will get you into the 200hp plus region and that car will be fast with the right mods in other areas.

if you want turbo:
4agze
sr20det (very known engine, a lot of parts, 300hp easy)
f20c with turbo or supercharger (easy 300 to 350hp)

In general I think a 300hp Ae86 is quite crazy. That amount of power in that car is almost too much and you have to be careful with throttle. THis will be a beast.

For 5k Paz has a Complete S2000 engine/box management set-up with every thing ready to bolt into an 86, all problems have been over-come, as its sitting in his car, which he bent soon after completing the conversion

250 is possible with lots of money. Just get an FA motor from an old race team in the states.
