Hey to each his own. Some people like turbos, others prefer NA. As i said before, depends on what you want from a car. And the way of tuning gives a car a very different personality, so it shouldnt be hard to decide.. and sounds like you've made up your mind already.
About exhaust manifold, some guy here makes them custom, and they are prety great. Perhaps you have "some guy" that makes them there also? But anyway it shouldnt be hard to find one for reasonable money as turboing a miata is quite common. How about using a 323 turbo manifold? would that work? |

If you are planning on daily driving: either begi, FM or HKS. All three make a cast steel manifold that will last. tubular ones are nice, heard that they can be prone to cracking.. Wouldn't fit the KKK flange though, but I'm guessing the GT2545R would be close enough. Honestly..just offer the guy selling the BEGI kit 1500E for is setup..its the easiest way and a very nicely engineered setup + you get to call Corky Bell for tech support...how cool is that

Did I say 1500? maybe that amount in $ inc shipping...should be possible to bargain it down even more. Keep an eye out for 1.6 JRSC's too...usually around 1300..but imho a lot less desirable then a small intercooled turbo setup. The old BEGI's/FM 1.6 with larger injectors and standalones reached 220whp@15psi A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Nice car.
I have few questions about mk1 and mk2 Mazda MX-5. I'm 1m 90 cm and 110kg big Is there enough room for me? Will be there gap between my head and roof at least 3-4 cm (no problems with AE86)? I rolled over once in car. Is there enough protection? |

I'm the same size as you are..Well I used to be. And to be honest, it will be a tight squeeze. You'll fit under the roof no problem. The real problem is your legs. Try and sit in a miata that is entirely stock. If you can fit inside it and think that the seating position is a bit tight but OK, then you can safely buy the car. There are a couple of little tricks you can do that will all gain you a couple of cm's here and there, makes a huge difference.
Roll over protection in a miata isn't great. You can buy a real roll-over hoop and it will be better, but it will always have the drawback of sitting in a convertible..things can come into the cabin. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

If you don't expect BMW comfort levels, then it'll be ok. I'm big, but I tend to fit into any car I want to drive: mini's, cuores, mx5's whatever. As long as I need to or it is fun to drive.
