wow... that might explain the lack of spark...distributor not turning.
You've got the right idea...get a 4age and be done with it. Just hope you can find a wrecked GTS to grab all the stuff you'll need for a conversion from. It's not exactly simple to convert from sr5 to gt spec.

yeah i know... i actually found one with a "jdm from fenders and bumper, and hatch" for $500, but its far away... whats with the front wheel drive ae92s having the distributer out the back... how would you utilize that engine ? wouldnbt the distro hit the firewall ?

Ehm...ae92 engine with distributor out the back?? If you've seen a 4age powered ae92 with the distributor out the back go buy it right this instance!
Only 20v 4age's have the dizzy out the back. Maybe you've seen a 4AFE 16v. (the ones with only 1 camgear). Dont get one of those (not that they're bad engines for daily driving/economy).

BTW, 4age are non-interference, as are 4AFE's and 4AC's. Dunno about the 20valve and ae92 redtop 4age though, those have higher compression pistons, not too sure if thet are non-interference designs.
