the making of the SR86
.... Going from an NA to a Turbo charged engine. Will change the character of the car. Hope you like it when its finished. your ae prolly weighs around 850kg and then with a 300 hp engine you can even go on 1/4mile rounds. It will prolly set times around 13s!

Wow. I was already waiting for your next step, but this is some huge step!
What are you going to do about the rear axle? Go fully nissan or make a mix of stuff? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

TE71corolla Wrote:and how about zax? did i see he had a ca18det?? or also the sr20det,i hope for him its a sr20 but the ca is a crappy engine i had one but i sold it and now i have a ''real'' engine The original CA18DET from my silver nissan was opened last week. Engine has all new internals (pistons, conrods, oil pump, bearings). This engine is going in to white ae86 this winter. Fully (re)built CA18DET with forged internals is running strong after 17000km's on 250hp-330hp in RS13 drift car. Good luck with your project and I wish you good result on Venray. Joep invited me to attend the event but unfortunately my finances does not allow me to go that far across the Europe. Vanette is already 114x4?
However a H100 axle is easier for you since you have the source to parts-o-plenty. Is there a H100 lsd available? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

IMO toyota hilux G series diff is best. Can buy LSDs for it and its absolutely indestructable. Bad stud pattern though..
