water pump issues
I went to fire up my aw11 for the first time since its all back together, so was putting on the necessary belts etc
I've found that my water pump pulley is well out compared to my crank and alternator pulley. I have although got the ae92 7rib low comp piston block - I'm guessing the pumps are completely different to that of an AE86? Help would be much appreciated Best regards, Alex |

I don't know anything about AW11's, but I do know that the FWD and
RWD water pump pulleys have different offsets. Maybe this helps.... http://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?...ling_Guide Cheers... jondee86 |

I have a lightweight double crank pulley, but this lines up spot on with my alternator pulley.
I have the FWD 4age water pump pulley - i even had that on my original 4AGE engine. My housing is not that of a FWD but of a RWD. |

It seems that I have the correct water pump, but the housing is wrong.
The pumps are interchangable, but the housings are obviously different. |

the FWD pump on the left and RWD pump on the right.
FWD pump with FWD pulley = correct line RWD pump with RWD pulley = correct line "Tämmösellä modernilla autolla, niin mun mielestä, ei tämmöstä kisaa voi ajaa. Whichever way around mine is, its about a good 1" too long so the line is not right.
This is mangling my melon. I've got a FWD housing with a RWD pump & pulley. So to counteract my issue, do I buy a FWD pump? I may have originally had a FWD pump before I replaced it with the MR2 one, but I threw it so i'll never know. What model does the FWD come from? |
