(bear in mind i have NEVER driven in Europe! you guys all drive on the wrong side of the road! you crazy lot!)

Hmm, you should be able to get a ferry to NL just fine although they can be a tad on the expensive side.

Also an option is to fly in to schiphol and hitch a ride with me or art or soSmile

Us? Nah, we don't drive on the wrong side. It's those crazy british who the wrong side: how else would you explain we are driving on the right side of the road. Big Grin

Guessing you'd probably take the ferry or chunnel it's a good 400 kilometer to Calais from Amsterdam, so I'd guess it will be about 50 kilometer extra. Add that to the distance from your house to Dover and you know how far it is. Wink

that reminds me of something else. Who from the west here wants to meet up halfway so we can drive together?

Yeah, but the ferry from IJmuiden is more expensive than from Calais. So I think its about even.. Undecided
