Hi m8,

Great project! Thumbs up!

One question, you say the car is for racing, and when I hear racing I think circuit and corners.

So:

Why didn't you make it camber adjustable?
Now there is no way (as far as I can see) to adjust the wheelgeometry which is very...VERY important for good grip and balance.
Maybe something to look into?

you can just use adjustable camber arms on the s13 rear subframe.

Big Grin this is only damper, you cannot adjust camber by this multiling using another shock angle.
It can be adjusted with variable lenghts of the trailing arms.

edit: ZAX!!! is this the top secret CA18DET car? we want moore, it looks mean with tthe cby fenders

as the lads said above, the nissan rear shock is for damping only and to cut camber to the tops would be useless. the camber in the s13 axle is determined by the top control arm. i have these fitted to the rear aswell as the other two adj arms. the car is mainly for drifting which never uses camber on the rear, but this car is being built to fia spec so can race on track/rally/hill sprints etc.

I was just sent this link Crying and after reading it wondered if fia track/rally/hill sprints etc s series rear end AE86'S need to have roll centers way out from the body center of gravity ? Isn't the main design point of multi link to isolate the matching point regardless of body angle/roll angle? I am a bit unsure if at 3'c per 1'' if those cv boots are going to allow that angle to be run without bursting due to pressure/heat or locking also. S13 s series cv's dont have alot of flexability movement in rear width change/angle.

Speaking of angle's a angle grinder might have to be employed in cutting up whats left of that toyota to correct all of the above because no amount of bling chrome adjustable arms are going to cure a rear end placed maybe 20-30cm lower than in the standard s series car. All of this with a uz fitted too, with it's center of gravity up around the heads that rear end is never going to match that point. Meh forget the above and install a long arm jz series rear end wiht higher points or buy a fia soarer maybe. Was it really that hard to stick you head under a S13S14S15R32R33etc before starting ? really !@ there is no need to cut anything on a AE86 to fit it as per it's original design.
