front strut lenght comparison problems
Hi,
my AE got a coilover suspension with koni yellow struts. My problem one of them is totally fu****, there is oil everywere and I can´t pull it out to measure total length.
Luckily someone on here could sell me 2nd hand Koni to fix it temporary. (Going to buy Driftworks CS2´s as soon as its back in stock around 6-7weeks)

Since I didn´t build the suspension, I´d like to find out what was done.
I meassured 345mm total lenght of the strut body (yellow part)
and my housing is around 425mm long (bottom to top with no locking nut)

Does anybody know it that´s stock or short-stroke?
Strut housing was half filled with oil so I forgot to check if there is a spacer at the bottom.

The strut I could get does have a a strut body lenght of 400mm, wich is quiet a bit more than the 345mm I measured.
I´m not sure it will fit my housing...
So I really need your help. Dumb question

Thats probably an AE92 or SW20 shock. aka short strokes.
I would take a drive in a car with DW suspension before buying them..

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

I know you´re the suspension guy, but can anybody confirm?

What´s wrong with the DW CS2? I´m not using it on the road.

60mm difference sounds very like ahort stroke.
Nothing wrong with the DW suspensions, had them on my S-Body - they are just a bit on the hard side but as you're not using it on the road, even if you would, there perfectlt ok.

340mm is definately short stroke. Same length as the short HTSs.

DW valving for some cars can be too hard. I would try them before buying them, thats all I said.. not that there is something wrong with them.

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Thanks for your help!
I´ll see what I´m going to do with my new suspension, but for now I have to stick with the old parts...

Mostlikly not, but does anyone have a 2nd hand short stroke Koni yellow lying around?Confused

Or any usable 2nd hand shortstroke shocks???

I could have 2nd hand AE92 TRD yellows no proof how good they are, but I need to make an offer?
What do you think is the reasonable price? 100€?

Cheers, Max!
