I've run my 4AGE with Keihin CVK 40 from (i think) ZZR900 without any problem. Runned like a charm.

TRD put some Dellorto dhla 48 on their N2 cars. Seen may Solex runned 4AGEs also.

Just be sure the are sidedraft. These AR ones from boxer are not best choice since they are downdraft.

btw. FCR .. yeah right.. they cost more than most 4AG's Smile

FCR cost routly the same price than any kind of carbs setup (I'm talking about brand newparts of course)
A brand new Weber 45 cost around 400€ each and you need 2 of them.
So they also cost more than most 4AG too...

I consider used prices, you are right for new ones.

45mm carbs are much more hard to find, even used go easy for 500+/set.

Used 40mm Webers and Dellortos in 40mm are supercheap and easy to find.
I thing they are great for all 4AGE up to ~160hp.

FCR are by far the best carbs you can get for throttle response !
For the manifold, if you know an aluminum welder, that's really easy to do.
Some brand like RS-Chita in japan sell manifold specially made for FCR application:

For hp, the fact than you can go[u:038703656f] up to[/u:038703656f] 160hp with 40mm carbs doesn't meen you will get 160 with just carb !
You need few other things to get that kind of power like good camshaft etc...

PS: carb have to be tuned with the engine. Don't expect to get your car running like a charm after you install them.

Also a carburator setup cost a little less on parts itself compared to throttle bodies, but it's way more time consumming to fine tune.
