Project from Denmark
Thanks.
Doing my best to rebuild all the body parts, to look 100% like a new Genuine part would have done. Takes a lot of time, but I would like to drive a car, where you can't see, that there's has been done massive rust work to the shell. Restoring my AE86, all the way... More body parts restored
There is a little work to done, before these parts can be joined in to one. Parts after sandblasting. Been working on the part for a few hours, just need the final welding and grinding. Rust work done, ready for joining the two parts, with spot welds. Parts are joined and primed, looks pretty good, and ready to be put on to the car. Next up... All the rusted parts has to be removed from the car, in order to put the new parts on to it. THere is a lot of fun work in that The inner arch and the upper rear panel is removed. The boor floor is removed, there has to be done a little rust work, before I can put the new parts on the car. Looking at the car now, there is not a lot of the car left... Wow Vaptor, your work is amazing! I can't even tell that some of these panels are made using parts from 2 different cars (and patch panels!)
My AE86 needs some body work too (pretty mild thankfully) but your thread is inspiring to me! Keep up the great work! |

Thanks.
Been working on another project the past 8 months, but my AE86 has gotten new side panels, and repaired the floor with some shell cuts from another car, since my last update. Hope to get this project up and running again in a month or two. Restoring my AE86, all the way... Going JDM style http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/ae86/p/150463#150463 |

So my own car, has stood still for the past 3 years And built this car for another Scandinavian dude from Norway Had even worse shell then my own car, put a lot of work in to it... Good job, that's a stunning car! Loving the clean look of it, styling reminds me of Tsuchiya's Trueno
Hope to see some news on your own car soon! |
