For copies - up to 150EU.
But I must claim again - they are not ready for sale yet - I need to finish some experiments (slso 4-1 are hard to fit due to steering column proximity and they need carefull design - there is not so much space).
I already posted some early pictures to give an idea:

I prefer that you will need header as late as possibly (in order to finish my tests).
About the shipping - this is tubular mild steel (not cast or stainless) and weight is under 5kg.
Anyways - If you decide, just drop me a letter or PM.
If you prefer to use stock header - I can sell you one too (but local deal is preffered because of shipping, original cast design is heavy).

Hey Jamie,

Owh thats pretty light indeedSmile How are you going to coat the exhaust btw? Wouldn't wanne see a nice header rust away within a few yearsWink

I think my header is pretty fixable, no problem there. Its more out of interest to see whats out there that caused me to start this thread. If there is a good priced alternative to a rusty stock header I may buy that but there is no haste for it unless if the hole turns out to be bigger then I expect.

There is a little trick - when all welding is done, I use zinc galvanic process to remove all rust. I mean ALL. This is no zinc-plating (I abort the process right before zinc plating moment).
Yup, I plan to coat them with termo-proof paint. Unfortunally I cannot offer ceramic coating yet. I plan to use mine (turbo one) with thermal wrap tape also + high-temp. silicone spray when rolling the tape over the runners (I hope this will prevent early rust also).

I've been told that a rotational firing order into the collector would be ideal? 1-3-4-2 should give the most scavenging, and therefore most hp and tq.

TRD has a LHD header for the ae86. The old style was 4x2x1, the new style is 4x1 but doesn't have rotational firing order either?!?!?! OBX makes a stainless steel copy of the TRD 4x1 header. However, the last one that I tried installing had a flange that wasn't flat, and cost a lot of $$ to have machined flat.--it cost 4x more than planing a cast iron manifold.

Vibrant is developing a stainless 4x2x1 header that is rumoured to fit the 16v and 20v heads--same header, dual-bolt-pattern flange.

Technopro Spirit has a header, but it's hella expensive and made of mild steel with some sort of high-temp paint.

Pacesetter headers are functional, but the design is not durable. When compared to the old-style TRD, the pacesetter has the same piping diameters, etc, but does not have the formed steel collector flanges. I've seen several broken Pacesetter headers.

To diagnose your existing leaky manifolds, simply use a piece of vinyl hose, and put one end in your ear, and the other end close to the manifold joints. You will be able to distinctly hear where the leaks are coming from.

HTH.

Most cheap stainless steel headers uses bent primaries (not mandrells).
When you use merged collector - there is no significant effect of rotational fire order (rotational fire order efect is not serious either) - this is my personal opinion.

You would want to go for a 4-2-1 like the stock manifold. Any 4-1 I ever heard about ruined the torque at low revs Sad The stock manifold is just as good as any other and can be even better if you make a few changes...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

4-2-1 is low end torgue and rpm midrange

4-1 is only high rpm

this is a standard known on exhaust headers.

I really want another one as well but haven't found the one i want
