hehe, the sky is the limit offcourse. But it better be some supreme/awsome mods before i'd recommend paying $9000 for it. Drift it, make 1 mistake, and say bye bye to your awsome looking chasis. How about you start to list these mods

Lets see, probably nothing wild on the engine. A zenki trueno bumper without the lip (lip is 3x more expensive than the bumper oddly enough) and some watanabe (or lookalike) rims with to little offset.
It's pretty clean, but 9000 dollars? That's a bit much. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

List the mods. Then calculate all them and decide - maybe it worth, maybe not.

Yeah, ask him about the mods.
If p.e the car has a full updated suspension it might worth it... danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |

If I'm not mixing up users on our board Jw is from the states guys so don't forget hachi's are a tad more pricy over there.
It looks like a really nice car on the pictures. I dont know what hachi's go for at the moment in the US. I do wonder about the mods because at first glance it looks like this thing has got a cleaned up stock engine with an electric radiator fan and stock suspention mounting points. And offcourse the obvious strutbar But if it has mods they are well hidden Then again, that is possible, if the engine is tuned internally, if it has better shocks and springs... Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

9000 bucks...that buys a lot of car. I myself would do the following:
raceprepped miata (light rims inc semislicks suspension, cage, seats etc) 4500$ used greddy turbo kit inc timing controlls and intercooler 1000-1500$ new clutch: 300$ RX7 clutchtype diff inc rebuild kit: 300$ Grand total: ~6500 dollars, and probably rule at trackdays and autoX Other streetable options are: FM2 turbo'd miata 1.8: 6500$ Tein flex suspension: 1300$ Total of around 8000$ with various little extra's that you'd want. That buys you a car with around 225WHP and a suspension setup that is simply amazing. Offcourse you would be driving a "girly"car...somehow most men seem to not appreciate the extra attention this generates from the other sexe (closet poofters!). A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Is that the attitude people have towards the Miata in the US? That means LOW prices! Too bad Greeks appreciate it more which means 10.000 EU for the MkI 1.6... Man, please don't pay 9000 for a hachi. It's too much for what the car is. |

Hmmm, I'd say it isn't worth the money. When the Initial D hype is over in the US the prices will certainly drop a great deal. So, invest your money in a car which will "keep" its value.
