bigger engine??
I am working on a K20 Type R in my USA levin coupe
i am also going to use the W55 transmission goal is 300 crank hp but right now i ran out of money so project is on hold until i sell of my other stuff 2ZZ is too hard to make mounts for a RWD setup and you have to get a custom bellhousing 3T make great power for cheap! but it is an old engine 3TGTE and 4GTE is a blast to dive in AE86 a local guy found a 3TGTE GTS with SR5 4.10 rear end and that thing screamed in 1st gear with only 5 lbs of boost F20C is nice but i do not like that fact that the engine is max'ed out already atthe factory to me a AE86 should have a NA engine Also look to the 1UZ 4.0L V8 talk about FUN !!!!! maybe i will build one of those in the future Max [email protected] |

bigger engine??
Hi, Max.
Nice to see that you have found your way to our little forum..I was wondering about the hp figure that you estimated for the K20... There are a lot of racing teams running the CTR in the VLN racing class at the nurburgring..These cars are tuned to the hilt, but I have yet to see a K20 reach anything above 240whp..Do you plan on spinning it to 11.000rpm @ 1:13 compression? I kinda distrust the whole enormous bolt-on hp hype thats going on around these engines in the US..Have yet to see a dynosheet that wasn't tampered with somehow. Offcourse...240whp is still nothing short of amazing out of an engine built for 4 hour endurance races. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

If I was after significantly more power from the 4AGE I would simply go about turboing the 4AGE and building the bottom end to handle whats being chucked at it.
