Aftermarket or used oil cooler ?
My oil cooler seems to be leaking.
Before deciding to replace it I have to check if only the hoses are leaking, but I doubt...

Anyway, I'd like to know if there are aftermarket (new) oil coolers available and who produces them.

If there are no aftermarket ones, I'll have to go for used one...

AE86 oem cooler is bad and small. RX7 FC one is usual upgrade ( MuX? ).
You can use some bike coolers or go aftermarket.
I have felx-a-lite cooler on my nissan.
With ae86 its simple to do upgrade, only replace the cooler and don't have to mess with sandwich plates.

Nopes, you need RX7 SA cooler, thats the 79 - 85 model range. Its an almost direct fit for the hachi but I don't know if RX7's were sold where you live so..

Aftermarket or used oil cooler ?
Finding rx7 for spares in my country is almost impossible Sad

If I find an aftermarket one, I'll be satisfied with it, as I don't need a performance one. If there's no aftermarket one, I'll have to buy a performance one.

But I had a look at Nissens and NRF, who are making aftermarket radiators and oilcoolers, but they don't have any oilcoolers listed for Toyota Sad

So I'm wondering if there is any other manufacturer which makes aftermarket oil coolers.

Mocal makes very nice oil coolers - we had one of those on our first AE82 race car and used the "sandwich plate" from an AE86.

Just realized I mixed up normal cooler and oil cooler...Smile

No idea what would be a good oil cooler replacement for the hachi.

Tnx for replys Smile

During weekend I found the leaking hole - there's a hole where the lower hose is attached to cooler and the hose is moving Sad

So I tried to use a little bit of high-temp silicone to stop leaking, but bad luck- the oil started leaking more and now my hachi isn't drivable.

I've found someone who repairs radiators, in the next days he'll inspect my radiator and we'll see if it can be repaired...
