KAAZ LSD Loudness
it's indeed a used unit. 5000kms ago it was refurbished.

I use MPM Limited Slip Diff oil.

TRD diffs are inherentley quieter.

Some say this is becuause they are more refined... that is not the case, it is merely down to less preload on the plates and less plate grip which allows more slip to occur. The downside of this is less lock-up % and slower locking action.

Any aftermarket mechanical LSD (KAAZ, Cusco, ATS, TRD) is great, I've used pretty much all of them in an AE86 and they are all basically just as good as each other, though I find TRD the smoothest and KAAZ the most hardcore. KAAZ also has the best internal design, for lock-up and longevity at least.

I'd recommend any of them, go for the best deal available to you. KAAZ and TRD are usually avilable at decent prices. If you want quiet, then go TRD. If you want an all-out drift LSD with the best durability go for KAAZ.
