Repair the block and put new pistons with bigger pistonrings in oder a new motor? Or is the damage on the cylinderwalls to big to hone the block?

Hone the block, wiseco pistons, balance crankshaft with flywheel, pulley and pressure plate...

apardal if you want the best bottom end you should try and grasp the lower block of a 20v silertop.

Then order the rebuild kit (pistons etc) from sym for 256 dollars. Rebuild it to a 16v and you'll have the strongest bottom you can get.

Only bad thing would be is that its less revvy due to a slightly thicker crank and rods. But with your flywheel you should correct that again.

woper, the suspension got to a total of nearly 1400€ including shipping and taxes.

robokill, the engine is being rebuilt with new bearings, and ARP fasteners that should keep things together, preventing damage to these bearings.

The pistons are going to be new, and the block bored. You're right. I would be better off with a 20v block/crank, but I'm really sceptic about importing used parted stuff.

What head studs are you ganna use?

If you want to play safe, i think its wise to replace those 20 yo studs considering the gear ratio you reached, there is a arp kit for the head too.

i think he is gonna use ARP stud kit. good choice.
