hey all, ill introduce myself, Im Doug, i live in Auckland NZ, i saw this car 3 years ago and fell in love with it, iv always been into my rwd old skool cars, especially toyota's, so when i saw this one i had to have it, i asked the old guy if he wanted to sell, he said no, so i asked him on a monthly basis, after 3 years of trying i finally said "hows about i leave my name and number and when you want to sell PLEASE call me?" about 2 weeks later guess what...i got a call
so i took it home and it needed a new clutch, so did that and used it to take to work and for play for a few weeks until i decided time to do my thang to it,so heres is progress so far....... when i first got it(love those standard wheels) some 14" dunlop drift wheels i got the suprise i got when i started doing the panel work, a damaged panel that had been there for years untouched had gotten so rotten had to be cut out getting primed up, all little patches and dings getting cleaned up, the boot is also had rear wiper removed and tidied up for my TRD ducktail wing car is going to be orange but engine bay black incase of any oil leaks or accidents with fluids, dont want custom orange paint messed up full vertex kit i got for it my 4age smallport cam covers i have painted up to be different my extractors and my 2 1/4" exhaust for the 4age smallport the factory hideous brown interior thats getting redone in black i will get more pics up as they come along, getting some wheels shipped over from the mighty USA and a rear strut bar, put pics up when they arrive steer with the rear!! |

Well done for being persistance on the former owner. What plans have you got for it?
It seems that there are a good fanbase of oldskool Toyotas in Australia and your way . There is only one true Nismo at AEU86 |

yea they love them out these ways, so many windy roads, how can you not?
well im going to drop the 4age 100kw engine in, with exhaust and filter, it has had some internal work done so will run NA for a while, doing full kit aswell as trd rear wing, then going to be orange, interior will be black, gotten ruid of back setas to make way for half cage, all interior bits will be painted satin black and redoing carpet black and have black fixed back bucket seats, no point in having rear seats, my wife has a toyota caldina wagon(3sgte engine-250+hp) so got a car for passengers steer with the rear!! |
