its a mag lug nut. much like the ones you need to mount celica/supra wheels to your ae86
many toyotas came with these lug nuts standard. i have used some from supras, chasers, celicas, carina, corona...etc ones i like best are MA70 lug nuts as the top is open so you can use long studs on it. |

Thanks AEsuperG good idea just the ones i was having in mind but i see there could be also the problem because now i sorted space with those between the wheel studs and the wheel but the top of the holes are not flat on the rims so i am not so sure if they will tighten enough if i just put the washer on. I am looking on net if i could find some that have the " \ / " design.

its supposed to be flat. may have been years of people using the wrong lug nuts and over tightening. to get that "\/" design, you may need to machine some metal. or just use the washers and they will probably bend to that shape anyway.

I got the lug nuts for my advans that fit i think pretty good i tried several different nuts but those steelies was the best so what i need to solve now is this question:
- the studs on hubs should have 22mm and they are having it also when i mounted the advans with the new lug nuts the studs go only to 50% of the lug nuts (you can see it on the hand made picture) A mechanic told me the studs must go to 75% of the lug nut so i am confused now should i replace the studs or not ? - second question is must i use some sort of a spacer between the wheel hub and advan wheel because there is a big clearance. AE86 orignal hub is having about 60mm or 61mm diameter but advan wheel is having about 72.5mm. 85' AE86 GT coupe lifetime project since 2005 |

I still think you would be better off with the Toyota wheelnuts for the CS rims: they cover the outside and 50% of the inside of the hole, while the ones you have only cover a small part of the inside of the hole. However if you specifically ask Toyota for the CS nut they will ask 8,20 euro per nut!
I managed to find a set through Marktplaats with a later type of these nuts (part number 90942-01033) for only 50 euros. dAYTONA said he could get them for cheap as well: http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/wheelnuts...kii/t/7176 BTW: I did use the OEM nuts to mount the rims under the car and get MOT (only 500 meters from my house). I would not recommend that: it was a lot of work to get the rims centered on all four studs and I was afraid I would damage the rims. After I removed those nuts I could already see minor damage on the holes after those 500 meters: so don't do it! 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

hey i also need new lugnuts for my ae86 OEM 6x14 alloys (the multispoke Intra's), but also unsure which ones to get and where to get them. I just screwed them on provisonally atm with the conus type nuts for steelies. But theese alloys need some insert type nuts, as the holes are much wider than the studs.
