Major AE86 help needed!
Want my advice: go to club4ag, and ask around to see if any local guys have a 4AC they want to get rid of. Lots of people swap them for 4age's, and chances are that they were in working order before they came out of the car.
Secondly, a 4AC is not worth shit to most ae86 enthusiasts, while junkyards may have a different view. That's not to say the engine is shit, an engine is an engine, an as long as it can propel the car forward at a reasonable pace, you can start to get a feel for the car. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Thanks all for the help! Oddly enough I could not access the link despite having a registered account banpei.
Anyhow: I will first clean up the car and then I will try to fix the engine (I hope you guys can help a bit there?). Then if the engine is unfixable I will buy a new 4AC engine. Thanks a lot guys! |

Update: Little confused about the definition of "engine". If I was to buy a 4AC engine I would have everything I needed right?
What is this ECU harness and all that... |

ECU harness are all wires needed to connect your engine to the ECU. But why would you need an ECU for the 4AC? The engine is carbed and has a dizzy, so you don't need the ECU for injection or ignition.

Hmm...what is this "dizzy" you talk about?
Anyhow I am going to a junkyard later in the week to look for engines. What engine's should I get if I see them? |
