One-piece driveshaft

If by valve train you refer to the top of the engine, it is most unlikely
that the cause is in the rear end or driveshaft. Rear end noise can sound
like wheel bearings or gearbox noise, but I have never heard it coming
from the engine.

I suggest you get a short length of garden hose and with one end to your
ear, probe the other end around the running engine. You could have a
vacuum leak. Does the noise follow engine speed or road speed ??
