RE: Tomei 16V poncams + Tomei technical trax 1.5 way LSD
both Bean and totta are correct.... and both add useful information....
BUT.... for the mild builder*... try to keep the variables to a minimum. Scavenging can add a little bit to a well tuned engine, but not paying attention to the basics can cost you a lot more.... the same can be said for intake design/length, there is a lot that can be achieved without changing the intake design, and a lot can be lost if the change isn't performed correctly. * - mild builder: retains the stock engine management, and stock intake system. It is up to you as to how "deep" you get involved. The skill level required tends to go up with the hp. As to your question about centerlines, the cam sheet is the recommended settings by the cam manufacturer, I tell everyone follow these recommended settings, and **IF** you have the time (and the $$), try changing the adjustments while on a dyno and see the results.... but if your cams are set to the specs, it should run, and run well as long as the internal engine variables(cam duration-compression) are well matched.
