Common MAP sensor solutions for ITB's are flawed at best (if you're not using some sort of plenum). But alpha-N is arguably not better.
This guy claims to have solved the issue by running one map sensor per runner and passing the lowest reading to the ECU.
Quite a simple solution from an electronical standpoint, but a very pricy one if you look at the prices of MAP sensors.

I built my own analogue of this using more affordable but equally capable MAP sensors but I still need to finish a workable prototype
since the cheaper sensors need a 3D-printed 'manifold' as they do not have their own hose barbs.
I agree about Alpha-n not being better, in this it might be easier.
Do you know what the Toyota ecu strategy is?
