Making a toaster....
Wires get hot because there is more current (amps) flowing in the
circuit than the wire was designed to carry. Adding extra load (lights wired in parallel) or changing to higher Wattage bulbs could do it. A short circuit will do it also... if the track to earth doesn't draw enough current to blow the fuses. You should disconnect that lighting circuit until you can find and fix the fault.
