4agZe problem solved - 99% IC problem
Tam dum DAAAAAA? Dramatic music plays...
My stepdad just visited me and he lent me his stethoscoop or whatever you call that. We listened to the engine together and found out that is probably a cam-shaft-bearing. Easy to fix or not? Cant find much on the interwebz. We listened on top of the engine from the oil-cap to the back towards my front window and you could hear how loud it got at the end. So probably camshaft bearing(s). We tried this without the belts on and with belts on - so it should be my block then I suppose. Couldn't hear anything from anywhere else. -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |

Okami Wrote:So probably camshaft bearing(s). Most unlikely... 4AGE/GZE camshafts run in the head casting and don't have replaceable shells. To make enough noise to sound like a lawnmower, you would have to have a broken valve or valve spring, and then you would (probably) be running on three cylinders. Cheers... jondee86 |

Dammit. I will probably drive the car to toyota upcoming next week but first tomorrow there is a special day for any toyota in Gemert. They are trying to do a world-record-attempt. I will go with my wifey's starlet. Hopefully I will find out what it is soon enough. Time for a mechanic I suppose. -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |

Motor olie ziet er naar mijn mening normaal uit. Heb nog niet echt iets kunnen vinden. Maandag maar naar de Toyota dealer. -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |

So... update...
Aparently the IC is the one making the sound. Very weird. Probably a loose piece inside of it. I will see if I can fix it and update you as soon as I can. -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |
