5mm headgasket
hello,
I need some confirmation : I'm fitting a 5mm TRD headgasket . In workshop manual torque is set to 6,6Mkg . It's seems so low to me ! Can anyone confirm that ?If somebody has tried a higher torque , any advices and experiences welcome! Filh Filh Save the RWD cars |

Those steel headgaskets usually have some pretty specific torque settings (higher than stock I believe).
You should look up TRD's specs if you can find them somewhere.. Maybe ask thomas (the Doctor) if he can take a peak in the TRD bible for you? FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Maybe it's because the stock headgasket is already a metal one?

It need oe torque,
it´s if you use other headbolts, that it needs to be different, If you take tha oe bolts to a higher torque , you will just stretch the bolts, So oe torque, that´s what will work /Skassa Any fool can go fast in a straight line. VEMS Blacktop 4AGTE20V 272hp/350nm """www.turbotoys.dk""" |

5mm headgasket
I've finally set it to 7Mkg .hope it will last long....
As you said Ivan , I think that a metal gasket doesn't get as much distortion at tightening than a metal one . Thanks for helping Filh Filh Save the RWD cars |
