A60 Carina rear axel, AE86 parts

Once again this is a question for the Carina enthusiasts on this forum.

I have a TA62 Carina, with a solid, open diff, rear axel. I have two questions about AE86 parts.

Will aftermarket rear springs for an AE86 fit? If not what are other people using?
Will an AE86 LSD fit my rear axel?

The rear springs will almost fit, only the cups holding the springs on the axle is slightly larger for the AE86 so you either need to adjust them or adjust the springs. See also:

The axle is in principle either the same T series as the AE86, or if it is the S series it is different. If it is the T series the AE86 zenki model should fit with a little work on the halfshafts.

Thanks for the info. I think the diffs my father and I have laying around are for Zenki AE86's. Gonna have to look into which rear axle my car has.

Finally found the information I was looking for.
Basically this table got all the options for the Carina axles:
   
So either you have a T292 (4.1) or a T282 (4.3). In the last case it is the exact same code as the non-LSD for the AE86. The T283 axle is the one with LSD.

Still this does not guarantee it is entirely the same as there are differences in mounting points, brakes and zenki/kouki halfshaft differences as well.
