AE85 vs AE86
So is there anyway real way to tell which car is which if you arent there in person? Cause i just remember an episode of initial d where the whole ae85 thing. and i was considering tradin my s13 for what i believe is an AE86 but now i am not sure please help! i do not wanna let go of my S13 for an AE85.

Sure - just check the firewall for the chassis number - it's stamped in there and will begin with AE86...

Hmm
 There are many AE86 converted from AE85. I wouldn't mind having it if it has rear axle with LSD, all disc brakes and 4AGE. In that case, it's irrelevant what's written on firewall Chances are that converted AE85 is better than stock AE86, most of the guys doing it rebuild the car and/or put better/new parts. Check the car thoroughly , see what's in it and then make decision if you will do some trade. |

the code can also be ae88, but that = coupe gts.
