Burning oil?

I have noticed lately that my car uses a lot of oil, and i do mean A LOT. After 1000km the engine is almost empty? Any ideas on what this could be, i have no oil leaks and there is no blue smoke from tailpipe?

Could this be the end of the engine , it does have 250k+ on it so wouldn't be surprised. But if it was near the end it wouldn't feel this strong?

I think that the problem is youre pistonrings en oil scrapers..

I had that problem with the AE101..

so time for an other engine?

the old 4age gunas burn off some oil with that mileage, 4 sure!

i had a ae92, with a 4age and it had 170,000 miles on it, and it drank loads of oil, and i didnt see any blue smoke.

but yea id say rings, r on the way out.

Pistons rings or valve seals are the most probable root causes...

No drifting, some high revving but not all the time and there is no smoke from the rear, i just think the engine had it's best time but as long as it runs i'll let it be, it just needs to last me a year so i'll take it easy. After then it'll be registered as oldtimer and then the engine will go in the bin and be replaced with something different

Replace valve seals, then if problem stil persist - piston rings.

No i checked there are no oil leaks what so ever, not a drop. It's just old age i guess, i'll see what i will do. For now i will just keep driving. I don't use it often (i got it a year and just reached 5000km) so i hope it'll hold another year.
