last weekend I achieved a milestone! (well, for me it was! )

For the first time in months, it was rolling again!

I fitted the rear axle and the whiteline rear swaybar (and in true whiteline fashion, it didn't fit, but i'll make it fit) and fitted everything back, so it was rolling again.




then I rolled it outside, took a chair and watched it, probably sat there for more then an hour ;D






again, I testfitted a flare, wanted to see how it looks in the sun, without the tight space around it.



What a differance..... Swift steelie (allready with 40mm spacer):

Turned it around in the shed and now I can start working on the front!

time to drag this topic out of the depths!

for the last year i've been staring at this:"



The car is originally cable operated clutch, the new engine/box wants a hydraulic one!
I didn't have the guts to do it myself (i'm not that kind of a fabricator like some on here!)

A nice member of the Dutch Toyota Club offered me to help with the clutch thing, in exhange of some engine parts he 'needs' for his project.

So today was C-day

Did some measurements first, were to put it exactly and then removed the brake master cilinder to drill a hole in the firewall (SCARY!!!!)




It fits in, but it's toight loik a toiger mate!



Need to find a solution for the t-piece on top of the brake master, but that's not to hard to solve.



and after a little play with the electric glue stick and some scrap iron, it works!!!!



Can't tell how happy i am, after a full year of thinking about it, someone comes by and fixes it in 3-4 hours... ;D

So i have to thank Mark, who came over to me in his beautifull LandCruiser to help me!

It's odd isn't it. You would assume there would be an area of reinforcement with an undrilled hole to accept a clutch master in shells destined to be TE2x's.

I bet you were shitting yourself with the drill poised!

How many times did you check your measurements first?
