robokill , like I said it was 2 or 3 years ago , a lot as
changed in the car and in the way i drive it .

But I was not scared of the car, just didn't had the feeling of it to antecipate the regain of grip in the back whells.
The lack of power didn't help as well, the 4.77 dif ratio changed that a bit.

but now the car is different ...

Topic says "dry drifting" and Wachau is all under water. Smile

Glad you had fun, I was on a start list for 30.4. but had slight problem with the car so I had to drop out.

I might be there for a drift challange this year again.

Drifting with stock power on the dry
I just opened this thread because ive been trying some second gear drifts in the dry for the first time, usually do seond in the wet, and was expecting to see you doing what i do(tight corner with massive run off like a carpark) but was shocked when i saw your video man your mental! i got scared just watching that haha

I was struggling to get any angle in second gear but after reading it seems speed is the key, defiantly not something i can do round here on public roads or car parks, i'll have to prep my car for a trackday by the looks of it!

Man the fu** up Smile You have a decent suspension, thats all a Corolla needs for a start. More speed, more clutch kick and e-brake, I do like shiftlock as well.
Once you get used to the low power it works quit good, what have you been drifting in the past? Maybe you just need to adapt your drifting technique to the car???

HAhaha Yer my dirft balls are about the size of a pin head at the moment but this is my first RWD car haha i'm still at the stage where i get excited from doing a donut! let alone getting a second gear drift! My drifting technique has been refined over year of Forza on the xbox haha seriously though i do need to get on track and get a feel for it i think! give me a wide corner on track with a big run off and i will be at it all day!
