Final Drive ratio - need advise

Hi GUYs,

Need some advise from you here.

What's the ratio of the Beams 6s box, I want to change my final drive to suit it. Anyway my one now is far too noisy...and old.

Want to keep a normal rev. when doing a 100km cruising.

Also, any recommended brand? I want a stronger after market one as I am running a Beams.

It will be good if someone can teach me how to calculate the speed vs gear ratio vs engine rev. I am currently running a 195/55/15

Altezza (SXE10):
1: 3.874
2: 2.175
3: 1.484
4: 1.223
5: 1.000
6: 0.869
Finel Gear Ratio: 4.100

AE86: (for comparison)
1: 3.587
2: 2.022
3: 1.384
4: 1.000
5: 0.861
Finel Gear Ratio: 4.300

Personally if I were you I will use a 3.900 because hachi have smaller wheels than Altezza.

Weir Performance make 3.9 and 4.1 (Toyota too)

if you wont good pick up go the 4.3 ratio
as altezza s changed to a 4.3 later any way and the torque and power will be good about the same in 6th as what you have now

Just do a rough quick cal.

I can only do 75km/h in 3000 engine rev. with 6th gear and 4.3 final drive.
Please correct me if I am wrong...
I am using a 195/55/R15

no you will be doing 90 kays with the 4.3 ratio and your tyres of 0.593 mm dia in 6th at 3000

Don't forget the option of 4.56, as that is the TRD final for the Altezza

Our cars are much lighter, so probably not necessary tho.
