Gearbox oil
Hello all!
I am going to change the oil in my gearbox soon before it goes on the car, it is a W58 from a supra not a T50. What oil do people reccomend for this? what rating, etc. thanks

Couldn't find 75W-80 GL4
2 Different shops only had: 70w-80 gl4 80w-90 gl4 75w-90 gl5 as you made out gl4 was more important then the viscosity I went for 80w-90 gl4, hope that will be ok? I only got 1 litre, think I need more don't I? |

80-90w GL-4 is fine
Remove the shifter and pour in 2L. You'll be fine. Andrew |

You are supposed to fill it using the plug on the side of the gearbox. Squeeze in oil until it is level and starts coming out of this hole, which is about half the gearbox, its supposed to be done with gearbox on the car like this.

.3L overfill won't hurt anything. Stock capacity is 1.7L and comes overfilled from the factory iirc.

I use Motul MT90 for the tranny fluid. It saves on the synchros.

Does anyone have experience with Motul Gear 300?
