Grip/ Proffrsional Track Coilovers
I currently have a D2 drift spec suspension system on the car, and i really need a new one one way adjustable (bound rebound together on one adjustment) .
I am really thinking of: BC racing type ER two way, not coilover on the rear ( shock independent of spring) for 1500gbp ( bound rebound on different adjustments) MCN-AVO triple way, for 3.500 eur ( hi speed, low speed, rebound ) Anything proffesional track use ? Trible ( hi speed, low speed and rebound ) or at least double ( bound and rebound ) to sugest ? Has anyone tried any of the above ? Are they any good ? |

It's a budget question, if you really want professional grade, then custom made KW, tailored to your use is the answer.

Something is not right here.... Professional coilovers and you example them with BCracing?
I know BCracing has a line of professional coilovers, but hey... if you want to go pro just get some TEIN or Ohlins and you're good to go! You also have DG-5 that could supply you with a nice set. If it is a question of budget i would go for the BCracing obviouslly, knowing the limitations of them but you can already purchase them with swift spring which is actually a nice upgrade by itself. Tein are out of production...
Whats your budget? Off the shelf coilovers can work great but have you considered getting a set made to your specifications? Daily Beater: Civic EG5 Work in progress Car: AE86 |

As is very apparent what is your specific use. Do you race professionally or are you just an enthusiastic track day racer.
Also regarding 2/3-way adjustability, to actually be able to profit from that you would need a lot of time, a very deep understanding of suspension and math. Also a plethora of sensors measuring everything consistently while doing many laps to gain anything from it. I intended to go down that route a bit more than a year ago and had to be honest with myself and admit it would be overkill in my case. AE86 ex-daily |

I am going to use it only in track. I am a racer and the car is a proffecional race car.
I dont have a specific budget cz i am studying now, so the car will not participate in a race for several months . Best to contact the manufacturer as linked above for prices. Check also that the strut length will allow enough lowering for track, being a Finnish product it may be set up for rally use.
One very successful Touring car of the 80's used upwards of 700lb front springs. Tyres and body shell will have a bearing on the springs used. An analogue brain in a digital World |
