No you can't use that oil, if you read on castrol.com they say its NOT suitable for limited slip diffs.
You should search for an oil that's suitable for limited slip operations, almost every great oil brand has got it, so shouldn't be that much of a problem. For castrol you should take this one: CASTROL HYPOY LS SAE 90 |

Hi, I have never seen this Castrol container before but if it is a GL5 80w90, you can use it without any problem. Just make sure it is not a synthetic type. Our unit does not work well with synthetic. Best Regards, Ray / Kaaz USA |

Surely there must be a reason why oil supplyers make Limited Slip (LS) spec hypoid oils. I cant imagine toyota prescribing the use of this type of oil if it is not needed. From the info I could find a while ago the LS oil has additional friction modifiers in it that help reduce clutch-chatter and allow for smoother engaging clutches. You can buy the stuff in separate bottles and add them to your gear oil too.
The friction modifiers also help with breaking in new gearsets since they act like a light anti-wear additive. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Non-LSD oil will not hurt anything (but LSD will act as open diff also).
You can use LSD modificator additive btw. |

LSD oil is more slippy (LESS friction) to allow the plates some sheen of lubrication when rubbing against each other. Using a non LSD oil will make the plates want to grip more, therefore making the diff more like a welded/locked diff than an open one! You can use a slippery additive such as Redline's to "tune" how much slip your plates get. Bear in mind the less slip they have, the quicker they will wear out and the more harsh/noisy the diff will be in operation. |
